We stock Littleneck Clams which are the smallest species of hard shelled clams and commonly known as NZ cockles. The flavour and colour of clams is influenced by the sand sediment they live in. They are more flavoursome and chewier than mussels.
They are sustainably harvested from the surf zone in the brilliantly clear ocean beaches of New Zealand.
Clams/vongole are great in pastas, risottos, chowders or simply steam open in white wine, butter, garlic and onion.
