Pink snapper is a sought after reef fish by anglers due to their excellent fighting character and fine table qualities.

A bottom dwelling fish that can grow to 20kg and over a metre long, however they are typically caught in the 2-5kg range.

WA pink snapper extend from Karratha in our north and down to the Great Australian Bight in depths ranging from a few metres to 200-300m out on the continental shelf.

The majority of our ‘pinkies’ are line caught in the fertile waters of the Shark Bay region with fish stocks closely monitored and managed by Fisheries.

Whole Pink Snapper taste delicious baked on the BBQ in foil. Wings and cheek flesh are delicious. Renowned for their excellent eating, Pink Snapper have moist sweet flavoured flesh suitable for steaming, barbecuing, pan frying and baking.

Our whole snapper range from 1-2.5kg and are fully cleaned (gilled, gutted & scaled).
