Threadfin Salmon are a northern fish species found in coastal marine waters, creeks and estuaries ranging from Port Headland in WA throughout the Kimberley, Northern Territory and tropical Queensland. There are two main species the King (Giant) Threadfin and the Blue (Four finger) Threadfin.

Renowned for their fantastic sport fishing, Threadfin salmon is also excellent table fair. This fish has thick, moist firm flesh that holds together well. Ideally suited to pan frying, grilling and oven baking. The flesh is delicious when used in fish cakes or casseroles. It absorbs other flavours during cooking with tropical Asian greens and citrus flavours most complimentary.
