King Snapper are tropical snapper and occasionally referred to as Rosy Jobfish.

King Snapper can be found over and near rocky and coraline reefs of the outer continental shelf and upper slope in depths of 90m-360m.

King Snapper is a very popular reef fish with creamy pink coloured flesh and large flakes.

The boneless moist fillets have a good flavour and hold together well when cooked. A great tasting fish when barbequed, pan fried, grilled and steamed.
